[ENHANCEMENT] Make the expand "config" arrow more noticable #534
Comments
Reasonable request. I personally prefer editing settings in the settings files. 🤷♂️ |
I also didn't notice there is a config page
In my case, I don't know what settings there are, so I assume the default settings file is all I have to change. It is my fault not to read the readme and wiki more carefully. I read your comment here #541 (comment). While you find a way you prefer, may I request you to change the readme screenshot to where the config page is expanded? So there is more exposure. Sorry for the bump! |
I would also prefer that the settings would be more visible. I first uninstalled BetterJoy again as it was always adding a new XInput device which messed up my Steam settings. Only by accident I realized later that there are settings which can be configured including disabling this function. |
Some users were not aware there was a config file (Davidobot#534), added a sentence pointing out the existence of this file.
Until someone else pointed it out, I did not know there was a second settings page. Even when hovering over the arrow it doesn't seem like it would be clickable and no one would expect the window to expand out like it does, as no other program at least to my knowledge does this. I looked at the settings file and thought it was expected to edit the settings there, even after looking at the interface to see if I had missed a "config" button.
I would have expected these additional settings in an additional tab at the top, or in a "config" button at the top. Something else that would make the button as it is more noticeable would be to highlight the entire right side when hovering over it, to suggest that it is clickable.
