Some quick issues

Some issues on first few runs:

Desktop:

• Trash icon doesn't appear, when turned on in Desktop settings.

Appearance:

• Mouse-pointer themes don't work
• Hinting settings not saved (not sure if they even work)

I pasted the following to the bottom of /etc/inittab, But still booting as root:
1:2345:respawn:/bin/login -f root </dev/tty1 >/dev/tty1 2>&1

Can't adjust number of desktops. Workspace switcher properties gives error on click "Workspace settings"

Unable to open the workspace settings. Failed to execute child process "xfwm4-workspace-settings" (No such file or directory.

Doc:

• Notes say "Adding init=/bin/systemd will boot with systemd. Removing init=/bin/systemd will boot with sysvinit." But where is this info added? What's the default config?
