This part of the manual describes the configuration of nginx for a non-root subdomain (domain.com/seafile). I think this wouldn't work for subdomians or if seafile is running under the tld. This should be clearly marked in the manual, for example in the headline: Create a basic Nginx configuration for Seafile Server with non-root subdomain
