Just thinking now, maybe the discussion isn't about adding React as it would be pretty disruptive for development. Maybe we could just add TailwindCSS or something that could help speed up frontend development without adding any additional overhead. |

Hello everyone! As Django Girls approaches its 10-year anniversary, there has been some discussion about redesigning the website to make it more interactive and user-friendly in #933 and #934. I've been thinking about suggesting we add some new tech to the website, like React or Vue, without obviously changing the main structure of the project which is to build with Django.
This addition could potentially make the website more dynamic and appealing. However, I understand that, even though this would enhance the website's interactivity, we shouldn't make it harder for new contributors to get involved, especially those who are still getting comfortable with Django and might not have much frontend experience.
I'd like to start a conversation about this. What do you all think about the trade-offs between adding more advanced interactivity with something like React or Vue versus keeping the tech stack simple to maintain the Django Girls' welcoming environment? Can we find a balance between these two? Or do you think the benefits of a more lively website would outweigh the potential challenges for those who are new to contributing?
Your input is truly valuable here. Discussing our experiences or worries can help inform a decision that guarantees the website is not just visually appealing and functioning efficiently, but also stays accessible for developers of all skill levels to contribute. I'm eager to hear your insights!
