I'm tired of searching for an application in the menu after installation and then manually dragging it to the desktop. When I download applications from Google Play, the icons themselves appear on the desktop.

Please add a toggle switch for this feature to Droid-ify settings.

I would love this feature too. @Iamlooker Is there a chance for this in the next version?

It seems installing an app using the official F-Droid client currently doesn't cause the app icon to be added to the home screen, either. However, a solution was proposed by @Dhina17 a few days ago and merged today: https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroidclient/-/merge_requests/1485

I believe this should work fine for Droid-ify, too.

Update: As of version 1.22.0 of the official F-Droid client (released Jan 26, 2025), installing an app causes the app icon to be added to the home screen.
