I met Eddie on youtubue,

I am a student, but I really want to contribute to open source,

so i did a mern stack tutorial , and made a bunch of projects, but when i see a open source project, the codebase or even the issues looks like an ancient chinise scripture, so many tutorials not even cover about testing and bunch of stuff, I am stuck in a loop where , I watch an open source project and get overwelhmed and get back to tutorials and do some projects and again see the open source project and get terrified and escape to tutorials, how do I overcome this and start my os journey???
