Taranis fails to bind in D8 mode

Current Behavior

Taranis X9D+SE will not bind to Rx in D8 mode. Fails to bind to a V8FR-II,
fails to bind to a X8R in D8 mode(will bind in D16 mode). Tx will operate Rx in D8 mode if it was bound previously, i.e. possibly a few years ago.

Expected Behavior

Tx set to D8 mode will bind to D8 Rx. Note Rxs’ are functioning correctly as will bind successfully to a Radiomaster Pocket in D8 mode.

Steps To Reproduce

Set Tx to D8 mode.
Activate ‘Bind’ on Tx.
For V8FR-II, jumper signal pins 1 & 2 & apply power.
For X8R, jumper signal pins 7 & 8 & apply power.
In both above cases red led should flash to indicate successful bind but it does not work.

Previously ran Opentx version 2.3.15 & was not aware of any issue but since I haven’t had reason to bind in D8 for a while previous binding may have been done on an earlier release.
