James must implement a form of authentication using tokens, pass them to the client, and use the token as a means of authentication.

@Kakarot I think you misunderstand...

we need a seperate api service that authenticates with tokens...These tokens will be requested by consumers of the service ahead of time. We are not dropping any of these tokens into the users browser, but one will be baked into our prototype ehr
