The plugin works great; however, as soon as I enable the ICQ account associated with the plugin, something begins generating a constant stream of WINS/NetBIOS NBNS name resolution queries. The queries are issued every 750ms and the queried name is always BOS-M013H. No machine with that name has ever been present on my network, but my understanding is that "BOS" is an acronym related to the ICQ protocol.
This behavior is easily reproducible in my environment. I've made a screen recording (mp4 link) with Wireshark running in the background. You can see that when I enable the ICQ account and it connects, the queries begin. When I disable the account and it disconnects, the queries stop. (Sorry about all the post-it notes in the video; it was the easiest way to mask sensitive information.)
Are these WINS queries necessary for icyque's operation?
Thanks!
