Hi All,

I was trying to go trhough this hack manual. However I stuck very early. I can't make the backup of the boot partition. Flash tool is idle for a long time after I click "Read back" button.

Moreover there is no sound of a device attached to the computer when I connect MC using USB cable to my computer.

Any cluse anhyone?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi @Madaraxa,

thank you for yout hint. I have tried again install the Windows driver.

The output is as expected:

However I can't still see a new port, PreLoader USB VCOM Port, in device manager as showed in the driver installing instruction. Even after connecting Monsieur Cuisine with USB cable.

Are you aware what does it mean to "turn off device", the first step in the instruction? I simply turn it off using black hardware power button at the side of the device, nearly at the end of the device.

Regards
Karol

Hey.
Hmm. Turn off means with the Black Switch, yes.
And after installing the driver (correctly) i opened spflashtool, used the scatter file and after this i switched on the MCC with Black Switch.
I dont know if you are german, but here (driver Installation) IT says 'Es sollte nun wie unten abgebildet ein neues Gerät mit dem Namen "PreLoader USB VCOM Port" erkannt werden (es ist normal, dass es nach kurzer Zeit wieder verschwindet).'. Which means that the preloader usb vcom Port disappears after a few seconds, and that this is correct

I have tried partition backup once more and it in progress forever.

What worries me is that there is no information on USB port in the right bottom corner.

My german is not good enough to understand the sentence, thank you for translating it to me.

I am using the scatter file, but with very high chance im not doing it properly. I use the button in red frame to load the scatter file:

However my readback screen is not populated with any parition list.

I read the manual, but reading doesn't mean understanding ;)

Close spflashtool. Open the 'option.ini' file that is in the sp Flash Tool directory with Editor (or something similar). And change
[ReadBack]
ShowByScatter=false

Into
[ReadBack]
ShowByScatter=true

So. Change only the false Into true in the ReadBack section of the file. Save the option.ini file and then open spflashtool.
Here is a good Addition to the manual. Sadly (for you) only in german
