Enhancements:

  • Supports feature services for point layers used to define the shortlist tab(s).
  • Ability to define all tabs with a single point layer.
  • Improved support for U.S. Federal Section 508 accessibility (thanks to @regan-sarwas for contributions).
  • Supports up to 200 places per tab.
  • Automatically numbers the places in your tab(s).
  • Supports private maps/layers.

Resolved Issues:

  • Shortlist now works if your web map uses a basemap that has a spatial reference other than Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere (WKID 102100). Esri bug number NIM099707.
  • Better error messaging.

Technical Changes:

  • Updated Esri JS API to 3.13.
  • Updated Colorbox to 1.5.14.

  • New responsive small display layout with support for smartphones, tablets, small web browser windows, and small embedded frames.
  • Optional Geolocator button that lets users see their current location.
  • Tab controls automatically expand to accommodate long names.
  • Tabs now wrap around nicely if there are too many to fit in one row.
  • Updated typefaces to improve readability.

  • The picture is now in the popup so users immediately see the picture when they click a place on the map (max picture size is 245x184 to fill the popup)
  • The Details panel is now optional. By default popups don't use the Details panel so you can make a simpler Shortlist with fewer attributes.
  • You can now add point layers into your Shortlist as supporting layers that don't define tabs.
  • Supporting point, line and polygon layers are now not clickable by default, but you can specify them as clickable via a new configuration parameter.
