Just an update on the future of this project. So a while ago, pysimplegui moved to a non-free license which means that you have to sign up for an api key. I really don't agree with this tbh, and do not want to make an account purely to access a UI. Obviously that's just my personal view but it means that I will not be able to test any of the pysimplegui code moving forwards. As a result of this, I plan on removing support for this in 2025.
I am providing 6 to 12 months notice of this change to give people an opportunity to yell if this is not a direction they'd like to see the project to go in. Ultimately user choice is super important (the issue here is that there would be no qa for the pysimplegui stuff)
Having looked at freesimplegui https://github.com/spyoungtech/FreeSimpleGui it looks like this is a great drop in replacement for those that would prefer a copyleft alternative to pysimplegui, and is supperted in version 2024.2.
