Every building team should have a box:

• (short) xlr cables
• xlr gender changers
• duct tape
• hdmi cables (they break!)
• vga cables
• 2 DI boxes
• preconfigured laptop for the team
• spare presentation laptop
• headphones
• spare boxes if available
• ...

It's probably a mistake, but just to make sure: duct tape is more adhesive and usually cheaper. Gaffa tape is more expensive, but can be removed without residue.

Makes teams more mobile... Something like an eastpak tutor, but add a FOSDEM video badge because there are about a thousand of those on fosdem.

Backpacks are a good idea. E.g. https://www.mysortimo.de/en/BOXXes-%26-Cases/MultiPack/MultiPack-tool-rucksack/MultiPack/p/000000006000003567 are dedicated tool backpacks which have standardized insets to cleanly store contents. There's a whole ecosystem around the boxes which might help with storing smaller things.
