I just installed a Spider 2.3 board in my Voron 2.4 printer. At first everything worked well, but after about an hour of use, the board temperature rose to about 80C. Since this began, the board consistently stays above 80C, sometimes as high as 110C.
I have strong ventilation, which keeps the host quite cool (40C), but the Spider remains very hot. I have used a Spider 2.2 for the past year without significant issues. But when I upgraded to 2.3, the temperature issues began. Nothing else has changed in the configuration, and everything except the mcu temperature seems to work properly.
Do you have any suggestions about how to resolve this issue?

Worked on this problem for days. Disconnected everything except power. Still running hot. No help at all from customer support. Finally, I threw it in the trash and bought an Octopus. Everything works fine now.
I had the same issue. It lead to sparks on the X, Y steppers. I was running
48 volts for them. I swapped the board for a MKS Monster 8 and abandin the
48 volts setup. I have no issues with their 1.0 Spider in my Voron 2.2/ 2.4
350.
