After mounting the .dmg file, all attempts to install end in an error message stating that the installer is damaged.

You can resolve this issue by removing the quarantine flag manually: xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/FedoraMediaWriter.app This should allow the application to open without the warning.
