Chrome 38 beta new profiles feature - switchy seems useless and not working,

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install chrome 38 beta
2. it has the new profiles feature
3. switchy always revers to direct connection but uses the default proxies in 
browser

What is the expected output?
cannot choose another profile in switchy

What do you see instead?
