When abstract entities (#20) were initially planned it was assumed that the implementation would be fundamentally incompatible with using Roblox instances as RECS entities. In the PR that implemented it (#21), this was found to be false - there is no technical reason why both cannot be supported. Given that there are already very good use cases for using instance entities, RECS should officially support this.
