There are new feedback options on the version 2 of quizzes, but existing quizzes need to be adjusted to make use of the new version.

Besides, there is no way to prevent learners from figuring out the correct answer when multiple tries are allowed ; a learner can just try all possibilities until they get the right answer either way.

How can I adjust the existing quiz to make use of the new version?

Is there any update on that and also any risk that the already submitted answers are lost ? ie does it need to create a new LTI link ?

It's coming soon. I'm trying to make sure the transition is smooth.

The task editor has been updated. You can now use the version 2 of quizzes either by creating a new quiz, or by updating an existing one.

To update an existing quiz :

  • manually add the key "version": "2" in the task_editor.json file (we'll add that feature to the task-editor itself soon)
  • open the task in task-editor, and check everything looks fine
  • save and import the task from task-editor

About existing answers :

  • LTI link will be the same, there's no change to be done there (you still need to use "Save & import" in the task-editor but no other change required)
  • submitted answers should reload properly

Note that even though I tested, it is still possible there are issues while converting, so if you encounter an issue don't hesitate to revert to the old version with git and to tell me which quiz had an issue.

Thank you for following up on this! Will try to implement this in a future version when we are more sure of a solution.

let's test it on a duplicated quizz, if we are happy with the result, then we will deploy !
