From Pat:

All new transcribers signing up on FreeCEN2 can only do so after accepting the agreement, etc.

All existing transcribers can (I think!) sign up once logged in, and (I think!) have been reminded/asked to sign up on message of the day.

Previous to FreeCEN2 systems being in place, there was no means of associating a transcriber with their transcriptions.

There are some records from _some coordinators indicating who transcribed what (some is on rootweb and should be captured as a matter of urgency).

Current and previous coords should be approached to see if they have such records off line, that can be passed to us.

I'd thought that the next step was to contact everyone known/thought to have transcribed something and ask (a) is that correct and (b) do they want their name published as the transcriber,as it is on FreeREG and FreeBMD, or do they wish to remain anonymous.

And then a public appeal can be made to find who transcribed the rest.

So then those we know transcribed, and have not yet signed, can be approached.

A decision also needs to be made about what to do about the orphaned transcriptions / those where the transcriber has positively decline.
