Is this project abandoned ?

It looks nice, but when loading a dbc file there are no messages or singals available

I wouldn't call it abandoned... It's just not actively developed. I simply don't have enough time now, however I am more than happy to accept PR if someone whishes to dedicate its time. DBC processing is a big topic and there will be always some problems as the standard is not public. Note that parsing library is a separate project: https://github.com/GENIVI/CANdb
