Possibly integrate GrITAS and QVI here?

Recently on the SI Team ticketing system, Ravi (@GMAOravi12 ?) asked about making sure the GrITAS and QVI modules on CVS were not lost if/when cvsacl goes away. Specifically these tags:

• GrITAS-MERRA2_V2_SLES12
• mat-qvi-1_0_r3-SLES12

I took a look at these two checkouts with @bena-nasa and to us it looks like it might be roughly in the same way that AeroApps was. A possibly out-of-date MAPL, GMAO_Shared, etc.

So, our thought was maybe they could be added here as extra "Components"? That would allow us to use the work @patricia-nasa has done in fixing up the CMake here to let these two just sort of "plug in".

But, the issue is that perhaps GrITAS and QVI aren't "Aerosol Apps" so they don't fit the purview of AeroApps? It was just the most convenient place.

I suppose we should wait for both @patricia-nasa and @amdasilva to respond.

I'm not familiar with GriTAS and QVI so don't have much of an opinion.
I would defer to whatever @amdasilva says.
