Hi @GeorgeSG , I had no idea you were still working on the http custom component. Used your py-aircrtl version for nearly a year without issues. Recently bought a new purifier though which is based on COAP; the version created by betaboon works well but a combined version would be awesome of course - not sure if you are familiar with his fork:
ps. does your new version by any chance address the fan speed issues which have emerged since HA changed this from speed to percentage? I will try it right away!

@ronaldt80, thanks for the info, I'll check out betaboon's fork. I do plan to support COAP, my main problem is that I don't have a COAP device, so I'll be implementing this in the dark :) See #3.
This supports (or at least attempts to support) the latest Fan changes in HA. I removed the support for speed and set_speed and added percentage and set_percentage. The device speeds should be mapped to percentages. If it doesn't work well for your devices, please share your device's model, supported speeds and modes in #3. Thanks!
