The idea is to allow the user to customize basic table styles inside the View Settings:

Idea to discuss: what if we have a new Styles tab, and inside this tab you could select style templates or a custom design and if you choose a custom design, you can select the paddings, margins, etc below.

We could offer pre-set CSS skins that, for example, match Gravity Forms' Orbit theme.

@rafaehlers Please prepare a bullet list of specific things people want to customize. That will provide Matt with more to work with.

@crbdev Based on your conversations with customers, can you propose what this would entail?

A visual interface that allows me to adjust various styling around the forms and views would have been amazing.

The primary things I spent time changing on this site were fonts styles, colors, and sizes

Overall, I spent most of my focus on fonts and borders

Making titles and field labels match our branding

I added some subtle styling to the views to make them look more "designed" if that makes sense.

Based on what I've gleaned from customers thus far, I think we can start by implementing a simple visual interface that allows for customizing the below View attributes:

  • Headings, text, field labels: Size, font family, color
  • View sections: Border styles, border color, background color
  • Images: Size, border radius
  • Margin & padding controls

We should also assign this to Tamie.
