The first time that I tried to upgrade to v771 everything seemed to be working fine, even I was able to calibrate the motors but noticed that no Mavlink stream was being published through serial, even used the gSDK to verify and display a message Lost connection.
After downgrading to v759 everything worked well again, Mavlink protocol streamed through serial and also checked on gSDK, everything working well, so Upgrade again to v771 but doesn't initialize anymore, motors doesn't move and failed to get parameters or detect gimbal even when gTunes show the message of successfully Upgraded.
The only way to recover it is downgrading again to v759 or v770, but also notice that v770 is not working well with Mavlink protocol, only displays 0x00.

I've had your same issue and I did the same procedure downgrading and upgrading again the firmware.
Unfortunately I am not able to restore the Gimbal even after downgrading the firwmare.
The motors do not move anymore and the status led is solid green.
Moreover gTuneDesktop (v1.4.9.3) doesn't detect the gimbal anymore.
I tried to manually upgrade the firmware but still no success.
