ExtraUtilties 2: Furnace duplicating Gendustry Gene Samples

the gene sample 5678 can be smelted in a furnace to clear its data and get a blank gene sample 5677. vanilla furnace is fine but if I do it in an Ex U 2 Furnace it gives the output and leaves a blank gene sample in the input slot. Redstone furnace from thermal expansion and powered furnace from AA both work as expected/same as vanilla furnace. seems to be limited to the EX U 2 furnace. same result when inserting via transfer node or when manually inserting items into the inventory. server and single player seem to act the same from my testing. thanks

Since it is ONLY happening with the ExU2 Furnace, I'm tempted to start chasing down this bug by asking RWTema what is going on. Will update as news develops.
