heic files from my iPhone 16 Pro do not convert. I always get an 'Invalid' error. Is there any way to debug?

The files open in the Photos app.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I ran some tests this morning and you’re correct, there seems to have been an update from Apple inside the heic file format.
I’ll hopefully have an update out later this week, but Christmas is going to slow me down somewhat.
I’ll update here when I have a solution.
