Notes on the template: you need to change the htr-united.yml file here so that you repository is correctly documented. Check https://htr-united.github.io/document-your-data.html to generate one.
Your data should go in the ./data folder where they should be put in subfolder, such as ./data/manuscript1/alto.xml
The template contains the tools used by HTR-United, they are configured so that you don't need to do it yourself. This will allow for some quality control.
