Join forces #1
Comments
Hi @rorist, Thanks for writing. I'm sure we can join forces for some events since we both promote the same hacking culture. We are not planning to be bound to EPFL very strongly but we want our events to be hosted there since most of our members are still attending classes there and that they have way enough room for HackEPFL to scale. We are not completely set up yet. Still waiting to discuss with some people at EPFL but we'll keep you in the loop. |
Just to add a couple of points over @FredericJacobs comment:

Okay, well as an employee at epfl I'm really looking forward seeing more events from the students, about openess, creativity, and so on. Just letting you know FIXME is open as a hub, and a promotion platform (you should already be subscribed to our ML, as well as other associations around (GULL, Swisslinux, PTL, ...). |
Too bad we couldn't discuss this over the weekend. Hoping to see you at one of our next events! |
Hi there,
I'm a member of FIXME, and after 2 years of existence, i can tell you it's hard to have people participating in side projects on a regular basis.
So why not join forces ?
We have a space that we can provide (good internetz) and a decent member basis, from there it would be a great base of operation, to brainstorm ideas and projects/events/whatever you are planning, to promote the hacker spirit at EPFL, without being too much bound to it.
There's also other associations around that you may be interested to contact, feel free to add more: https://fixme.ch/wiki/Resources
Cheers
