Get current html source of an hs.webview object?

I'm trying to make a "scratchpad" type function in Hammerspoon, and have a skeleton working (see here)

What I want to be able to do is save/restore the contents of this <textarea> -- but the hs.webview:html() method only sets, it doesn't seem to get.

Anyone know a way around this?

Use JavaScript to communicate between your web content and Lua:

Basically you can use JavaScript to send messages back to Lua.
