will there be a way to run native linux programs on harvey? (and other ideas/questions)

maybe using a virtualization layer or even a full virtual machine? what are harvey's intended uses? the whole idea feels like the old mainframes of the early 2000s, maybe it could use a virtualisation layer to run program threads across multiple cpu servers? (difficult but technically possible)
