DragonBones animation format support maybe #163
Comments
This would be huge! I've been following Spriter (http://www.brashmonkey.com/index.htm) because of the performance and utility of paper doll animation (or 2D bone based animation). But progress has been pretty slow regarding their documentation and animated object loading APIs. There's a port for haxe (http://lib.haxe.org/p/HxSpriter), but it doesn't support bones or texture atlases yet. I hadn't heard of this before, I'll be checking it out. Thanks! |
I've seen their demos and it's pretty impressive (the mouse-aiming demo) although the performance in a stress-test demo was not jaw-dropping. But I don't fully understand the creation process. I hope it's not limited to Flash IDE only. |
@Beeblerox I wouldn't bother until the AS3 implementation supports bones: http://www.brashmonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=532 |
Hey folks, @SlavaRa ported dragonbones to haxe and nme: https://github.com/SlavaRa/dragonboneshx3 |
@treydb and @SlavaRa added this issue SlavaRa/haxelib-dragonbones#8 :) |
This should probably be implemented as an addon: HaxeFlixel/flixel-addons#52 |
