How do bobfluids work?

Hello, im working on a converter between bobfluids and forgefluids for my modpack so i can use it with railcraft and ae2, so can someone explain to me how they work. It could also be nice if someone pointed me to the documentation for net.minecraftforge.fluids on 1.7.10(assuming it exists)
