An alert system shall be developed in order to notify subscribers of new FRB events via email, upon submission/disclosure to FRBSTATS/TNS. This is of high importance, as it permits astronomers to rapidly carry out critical (multi-wavelength) follow-up observations of FRB candidates.

Perhaps an alert system for ATel publications related to new FRB discoveries should also be implemented for notifying FRBSTATS/contributors to update the database. Most FRBs should also be submitted to TNS automatically (since most observatories have set their alert system up via the API), so they could also be obtained from TNS directly.
Turns out this may not be quite the case. ATel #14480 presents a detection from FRB 180916.J0158+65, but it does not appear to be submitted to TNS yet (4 hours after ATel post), so FRBSTATS should look for ATel posts and alert contributors accordingly.
