How to reset Roborock S5 WLAN? #2079
-
Are you already using Valetudo?Yes, for a long time Your questionsI have a new router with a new SSID. In Valetudo Network Settings, it said I cannot change the SSID from Valetudo and I needed to reset it manually. So I held the "reset" button next to the "WiFi" light and now it's blinking slowly. The Roborock S5 now creates an unprotected network called "roborock-vacuum-s5_miapXXXX". How do I proceed from here? The Valetudo app does automatically detect the Roborock network, but after connecting to it, I get the message "No Valetudo found on this network. Scan finished without results". I even installed Mi Home app to try and connect. It finds the vacuum cleaner but shows an error message "Failed to obtain authentication information. Connection error, check network and retry." Did lock myself out of my Roborock S5 by accidentally the whole thing in stead of only the Wi-Fi? |

I had some trouble with the S5 connecting, and just reset my S5 WIFI. As you are changing the whole WIFI network, your robot will probably get a new IP so you could for example check the router settings page to find the new IP of the robot. |

I opened a browser to address 192.168.8.1.
From there, I could see the Valetudo WIFI setup page.
I scanned for WIFI networks and after a while, a list of hotspots appeared.
I selected my WIFI from the list, entered the WIFI password and pressed "Apply".
My computer soon reconnected to my own WIFI access point automatically, as the robot's AP vanished.
After that, the…
