  • Danfysik changes impacted neutron beamlines negatively. They appreciate there are valid use cases on Muons for these features, but suggested the idea of splitting the Danfysik IOC for different uses if there are many more changes to come. We asked whether this applies to other power supplies which are undergoing similar changes. They said no, Danfysik are a special case.

  • High concern among reflectometry scientists about SURF losing positions on switching to IBEX. We believe this is resolved (it was a result of accidentally deploying a new Galil driver), however it would be good to communicate / demo that the switching works properly. Plan is to use April to demo reflectometry in IBEX to the scientists on one of the beamlines.

  • There was a question about whether our homing routines cover all needs for reflectometers.

  • ZOOM reports json_bourne being unstable. Believe this is fixed with #5280

  • Script Server

    • Scientists said they hadn't yet tried it because it was broken.
    • There was a consensus among the scientists that pausing the script server should pause data collection. They felt the two things would usually coincide for their use cases, and that having different meanings attached to different "pause" buttons would be confusing to users. Created Ticket: #5288
    • They cited being able to edit the currently executing script on the fly as the main feature that would make the script server useful to them.
