Hi, I recently came across fairly, and it looks like a nice package to use. I also recently came across datahugger, which seems to overlap quite a lot with fairly.

If they are indeed very similar, would it be an idea to try to join forces?

Hi @c-martinez, thanks for letting us know. It looks like this is an initiative focusing on downloading of data only. fairly provides metadata management, as well as smart uploading/downloading with push and pull mechanisms similar to git. But surely we can join forces for better downloading code. Multiple downloads in parallel is not yet implemented in fairly.
