[Bug] Bees refusing to accept hive location #585
Comments
do you have magma blocks around? if so, try putting those inside feeding slabs instead |
I do, but I doubt it would make a difference since they behave the exact same when they turn cobblestone into lava, they get the same pollinated texture on their bodies then just...wander around the enclosure until night comes, then they get in and there's no honey progress even when they were pollinated |
get them a simulation upgrade then, takes care of the janky ai |
the quarry bees are probably desperately trying to get to the dirt under the grass |
But they're already pollinated, they got the particles and everything, so it's weird |
I made a glass enclosed space so my magmatic bees don't fly away. They were producing honey and their usual combs for a while then randomly they stopped giving anything. Here are some things I noticed in my investigation.
I caught them in a cage both before and after pollinating.
Their hive coordinates either disappear, or change into a nearby empty solitary nest.
Even when I try to reset their hive location with shift-right click with the filled cage, next pollination results in the coordinates resetting again and they refuse to get inside unless it's nighttime, and even then they sometimes stay outside, just frozen on top of a block.
It's only my Magmatic Bees doing this, I have Glowing bees and regular bees and neither of them do this and produce honey no problem.
