Some assorted feedback and notes after running the workshop at JFall; anyone welcome to add new suggestions.

  • comment out the AsciiDoc callout in the XML snippet, to remove it from copy-paste
  • the Keycloak "Add new Realm" button discoverability could use a screenshot to help
  • the 401 response in the browser looks a lot like a 404 response; add a screenshot?
  • add suggestion to star the repository in the slides
  • would it be possible to do the workshop in a web IDE?

  • Upgrade to Keycloak 20
  • Switch to Renovate instead of Dependabot
  • clarify which applications to stop/start & when to get token
  • possibly run gateway on different port with alternative redirect_uri
  • clarify that not all modules will compile / run after a clone
