Hi Jack,

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and managed to enjoy the holiday season! Thank you again for your amazing work on this integration - it has been a game-changer in my Home Assistant setup.

Lately, I’ve been experimenting with game-based automations for my Hue and WLED lights. To achieve this, I’ve built a workaround using a own Discord bot that reads the Rich Presence data and triggers lighting scenes based on the game being played.
While this works, it requires me to create a unique scene for each individual game. I thought it would be far more efficient to define fixed lighting scenes for my top 10 most common game genres (e.g., Open World, Survival, Action) instead. That’s what inspired this feature request.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently, there is no sensor in the integration that provides information about the genre of the currently played game. Without this, I have to rely on a manual workaround (via a Discord bot) that maps games to genres, which can be time-consuming and difficult to maintain.

Describe the solution you'd like
I would love to see a sensor added that extracts and reports the genre of the currently played game. This would allow for streamlined automations in Home Assistant by enabling genre-based actions. For instance:

  • Open World games could activate a warm and immersive lighting scene.

  • Survival games might trigger dim, eerie ambiance.

  • Action games could use bright and dynamic lighting effects.

With this sensor, I could simplify my setup by defining 10 lighting scenes for my favorite genres, rather than creating a separate scene for every game.

Describe alternatives you've considered
The only alternative I’ve found so far is using a Discord bot to read Rich Presence data and map it to lighting scenes in Home Assistant. While functional, this approach requires constant maintenance and manual game-to-genre mapping, which is far less efficient than having this functionality natively within the integration.

Additional context
This feature would greatly enhance the integration’s versatility and allow for even more creative automations. I’d be thrilled to see your thoughts on this and whether it aligns with your vision for the project.

Looking forward to hearing from you, and thanks again for everything you do!

This one is on the docket, but I haven't gotten there yet. It will be coming soon though.
