If your issue is with compiling a document (not having to do with finding the root file of a project), check first that you can compile manually.
You can compile a TeX document manually?: Yes
Describe the bug [Required]
After restarting the VS Code because of an upgrade notice, the internal PDF viewer turns to be in the black-white mode, i.e., all colorful elements in the PDF are black, including the text, pictures inserted as PDF. It seems this is only related to the internal PDF viewer. Because the PDF itself seems normal, looks like it should when opening with an external PDF viewer.
To Reproduce
The compile procedure works smooth, only the internal PDF viewer is wired.
