Adding comments does not work

When I try to add a comment to a host/service, the interface replies with a "successful" message, but nothing happens. I can't even find any error in the log files. The only trace of my command is in the "nagios.cmd" file, where I see the last issued command registered.

I'm running Nagios 4.5.0
