In given example even ftp downloads are https actually, and work fine. E.g.: https://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/geo/samples/GSM2797nnn/GSM2797198/suppl/GSM2797198%5FYng%5F2%5FH3K4me1%5FFE%2Ebw
Closing as cannot reproduce.

Still cannot open files using http link from the above example, e.g. using link : https://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/geo/samples/GSM2797nnn/GSM2797198/suppl/GSM2797198%5FYng%5F2%5FH3K4me1%5Flog2%2Ebw
P.S: ftp link works

P.S: If we download file using the above link, then it could be opened in JBR w/o any issues
