Outline Client

Describe the bug

When I connect to the server, the application constantly tries to reconnect. Although it does not affect the network.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the app.
  2. Click the "Connect" button.
  3. Wait a second.

What did you expect to happen?

Just like in the android app.

What actually happened?

No response

Same problem, fedora 40 KDE system, connects to the same server on the mobile client normally.

Same problem with client on Linux Mint 22, on Windows everything is fine.

This issue is almost a year old. Outline Client is unusable with many Linux iterations, or so it looks.

What makes things worse, regular non-VPN connection does not work even after you kill Outline client. Only reboot helps, as mentioned by Kadzuo.

Moreover, because Outline Client adds itself to auto-start programs every time it starts, you need to reboot twice if you forget to remove the client from the auto-start list.

Yes, the bug is terrible and the outline vpn client is absolutely unusable on Ubuntu because of this issue.
