I'm using Jovian in a game console kind of setup. For some reason gamescope defaults to 800p/60fps as if I was on a Steam Deck. It will run fine at 4k/120fps if I manually set it, but games will not respect this setting. I can manually change each game to 4k, but there is no way to do that with refresh rate I believe. Even when my TV, the quick settings menu and MangoHud all clearly show 120hz, the game will only go up to 60fps... It's really strange. Using an RX 6600 with VRR/Freesync Premium. Turning those off didn't fix it, and neither turning off hardware.has.amd.gpu and steamos.useSteamOSConfig. I'm using GNOME as my desktop manager, thought maybe if I changed it in gnome settings that would fix it... nope, GNOME recognized the display as 4K right away. I've tried setting the resolution in
No luck. Is this an issue with gamescope itself or is there a setting somewhere I missed? |

For posterity: It was because I was running xanmod kernel. Using latest kernel seems to have fixed it mostly, though there is still some weirdness. |
