It would be really great to be able to see stories while using the Followed Feed feature.

Hi, I've also had this issue. It is clearly not intended, but happens sometimes. At the moment I couldn't reproduce this bug.
But I could fix the issue by enabling and disabling the story strip.

If the issue still occurs, please let me know

Oh, I actually commented this as a feature request because I have never had it work. I didn't realize it was the intended feature!

I tried the story toggle trick and it didn't work. I download the latest APK and tried it there too and it didn't work either.

I am not sure what information would be relevant, but here are the steps I took:

  1. Download the latest APK and install (I am using a Note10 running Android 12).
  2. Log in to Instagram
  3. Edit the settings to enable "Followed feed"
  4. Check to make sure "Story strip" is enabled
  5. Allow refresh and return to Home for redirect
  6. No story strip appears on the Following feed

Mhh this is interesting because the default setting is that the story strip is activated. That means the injection script does nothing. I tried emulating your device, but the issue did not occur in my setup.
Therefore I've made a version of NoReel without the Injection script that changes the content: NoReel.zip. Can you try to run this and go to the followed feed. If the stories still not showing up, than this must be a problem of Instagram itself. Otherwise we will see ...

You may also consider reinstalling the app and deleting the app data. Maybe that will fix it ...
