What feature do you want to propose?

Karman should offer the possibility to semi-automatically fetch the correct (high-res) artwork for a song.

How do users access the feature?

When importing or editing songs there could be an option, something like fetch artwork that opens an image selection dialog where the user can click on the correct artwork. The artwork will then be automatically downloaded and saved into the song's directory.

Describe alternatives you've considered

  • We might just leave it up to the user to find the correct artwork. This however can be quite tedious and can be automated very well.
  • This could be implemented frontend-only. This would be fine. An advantage of an implementation in the backend however could be that the backend could automatically select an artwork when a song is imported.

Additional context

Karman should ensure that artworks are square. As a bonus we might implement some kind of editor that can crop images but for a start Karman should only offer square images.
