Media resources (audio, images, videos) should support ETags. The respective endpoints should support the headers If-None-Match and If-Modified-Since as well as any other relevant headers.

This can save bandwidth when the client already has the resource cached. Especially for artworks this could be very beneficial.
ETags could probably be the file checksums.
