Just posting this to report some things I've noticed and some issues I've run into.
I can't seem to figure out how to work the lights and can't find any documentation on exactly how. It would be presumed it must be straightforward, but it's not apparently. I place an electric floodlight and a non-electric floodlight and can't figure out how to make either light up.
There probably be some other way to "toggle invert state) other than shift right click because on my server, shift right click picks up small mobs or blocks to let you move them around. Maybe this could be configurable?
I was unable to test further due to being unable to make any of the lights actually work. Hope everything is going well.

Redstone makes it light up or Shift right click to invert them.
You use coal for non electric ones and electric ones you place a power source next to them or use cable.
You need a wrench to change the mode.
