Onboarding flow website

Went to our homepage, clicked the signup button instead of "install kilo code".
Clicked the "Open in VS Code" call to action (didn't work as he didn't have VS Code on this new machine, only Cursor). Went to install VS Code as he didn't know he could use Kilo Code in cursor.

💡 Can you ship a VSCode bundle with Kilo Code pre-installed? And all the copilot stuff removed?

Extension onboarding flow

In the extension he didn't see the login button, only the "create kilo code account" and the "API key" button. Decided he had an Anthropic API key and added that.

First usage experience

He doesn't like focus hijacking, he wants to do stuff while the agent is working.

Also surprised architect mode is the default mode for new users.

Missing checkpoints

Wants to get a diff at the end of the task being successful so he can review what he did. (He is used to this workflow from cursor: #736 (comment) )

He expects there to be a checkpoint/restore button here, instead you have to use the pen icon to trigger this behavior but it isn't obvious:

"Kilo Code wants to read this file:", no it IS reading this file!

What is this "API request" spinner??? What does that mean? For you it might make sense but for me this means the "AI is thinking"

Unsure how to find docs, or learn more about using Kilo Code

I want to learn more about how to use Kilo Code, how can I do that?
