Point and Click Enhancements

This is an ongoing list of improvements/changes/ideas I have for the point and click side of the modelling app.

Higher Priority (Not Industry Standard):

• "Snap to" other points/axis/lines/tangencies/etc. if you hover over them in a sketch. #4607

• Deleting segments improvements #4608

• The user should be allowed to choose the start point of their sketch geometry. #4610

• Ability to multi-select in sketches #4618

• Can't start new geometry once a sketch is closed #4619

• Right click to show option menu. Contextual Prompts/Hints #4609

Medium Priority (Also Not Industry Standard):

• Left click + drag to highlight sketch geometry within a box #4611

• Click the delete key to remove sketch geometry #4612

• Double/single click to edit any geometry #4613

• Click + drag a line to reposition it. Make start point less rigid. #4606

• Show 3D feature previews #4886

• Option in sketch for single lines/arcs and separate profile tool #5457

Other Decently Important Things:

• When opening a project, the default view should be an isometric view so that all 3 planes are visible. #4614

• Grids at different scales should be nested within each other, rather than resetting when the scale changes. #4615

• Deselecting the line tool should not exit the sketch #4558

• Orthographic View should not zoom through geometry. Only Perspective View should zoom through geometry. #4854

• Deleting the "startSketchOn..." line of code should take the user out of sketch mode. #4862

• Starting a new sketch on face centers the window differently depending on the geometry #4872

• Add ability to select through objects #4878

• Backspace should not remove geometry #5007

Lower Priority (Some are just my ideas)

• Input KCL code by selecting features in 3D space #4864

• Hover the curser over an equation in the KCL Code and see the solution display. #4616

• When sketching a profile, click and drag from the current line's start point to have it change the new line you are about to create to a tangent arc. #4617

• Add CATIA/3DX mouse controls #4492

• Ability to dimension circles by diameter #4559

• Moving dimension boxes in sketch #4853

• Planes when zooming #4457

• Most recently used tool replacing the default at the top of the toolbar #5319

• Drag and drop tool from toolbar to initiate feature creation #5396

• Click in the scroll wheel to center the frame on the cursor #4884

• 3D features should cross highlight in the KCL code #4885
